Product Description

Aniseed Balls were never a sweet I thought I would like. With such a rich flavour these alluring Retro Sweets are an acquired taste, that’s for sure. They are one of them old fashioned sweets you can literally picture in a glass jar on a shelf, noticeably due to their simple colouring next to a jar of Gobstoppers.

So whilst I never thought I would like them, I was soon tempted by the sweet aroma. That was the beginning of my latest love affair with retro sweets. Moreish, sweet with a bit of a kick. Delicious!

Aniseed Balls are easily recognisable by their shiny brown reddish colouring. They are smaller than Rosy Apples, but just as long lasting. A British Retro Sweet favourite.  Aniseed Balls could be found in all old fashioned sweet shops. They were extremely popular in the 1950s and 1960s. You could say their staying power is as strong as their taste. Complete with a seed in the middle these classic sweets taste as good today as they did when you was little.
